Hello, friends! Here's a little inspiration for your Monday
morning
We were blessed with some gorgeous weather this past weekend and
tried to enjoy every minute of it. I am hoping these Spring like temperatures
continue and that this isn’t just a tease! I’m pretty sure my son is already
obsessed with being outside. When we get close to the front or back door he
starts squealing and screaming with excitement. His new favorite spot in the
house is standing and holding onto the the lower part of the front door.
I
posted this pic on Instagram (cke2012- if you want to follow)
One happy guy!
I thought I'd share what’s on the menu for O this week, since we
will be having what was actually on our menu from last week, this week. Yea, it
was one of those weeks.. I didn’t make it to the store until late in the week
and we just ate things we already had which consisted of many of our “go-to”
easy meals. (breakfast for dinner, pasta and chicken, quesadillas, etc)
We are still working on finger foods with Owen, I haven’t found
a ton of things he is crazy about (minus puffs, yogurt, bites, and cinnamon
rolls! ha) but we’re just going to keep introducing things and see how it
goes. So, here’s what baby boy will be eating this week…
Breakfast
YoBaby Yogurt (he loves the Blueberry or Banana flavored yogurt)
with Whole Wheat Toast and Fruit (fav.’s being watermelon, cantaloupe,
blueberries, and mango)
Whole Wheat Bananas Pancakes with a Plum or Ella’s Kitchen Fruit
Pouch
Hard Boiled Egg with Whole Wheat Toast (key for him is to just
lightly toast the bread and add a little butter!)
Lunch
Whole Wheat Elbow Pasta with ground turkey, green peas and
tomato sauce
Baked WonTons filled with broccoli cheddar and chicken ( this is
a new one, we’ll see how it goes??)
Quinoa Salad (minus jalapeno and chili pepper for him but added for me!) Steamed Carrots with Hummus
Dinner
Modified versions of our dinners:
Chicken
Club Croissants with Sweet Potato Fries
Grilled Salmon with Rice and Veggies
Turkey
Kofta Kebabs with cucumber yogurt dip and Veggies ( I plan on making a few
of the kebabs without the paprika or chili powder)
Plus whatever leftovers he has from lunch
I tried to incorporate things the whole family can eat and kept
a few things I already know he likes like, yogurt, pancakes, hummus, pasta, peas,
toast, etc. I also always have a baby food pouch or stage 3 training meal on
hand just in case whatever I prepare is a complete miss..which has happened on
more occasions than I ‘d like to admit. I’m hoping that some of these new items
will become things we can add to our rotation.
If you have any suggestions on finger foods, I’d love to hear
them!
Now for Mommy and Me Monday!!!
another old pic
Look at my tiny, brown haired baby!
And just because I couldn't resist ...
2 Days old!!
a love like no other...
and since I'm clearly feeling sentimental...
Fingers crossed I can find my camera cord this week! I have a ton of photos to upload!!
Have a great week!!

Thanks for the great ideas for baby friendly meals! Hayden has started not liking the purees because he wants to feed himself! I keep running out of ideas of things to give him!
He loves waffles and oranges, but that's about all I can think of that are quick! I will try the toast for sure!
Love the pictures, so sweet! Can't believe your little boy is going to be one! XO
I'm now following you on IG @tiffanyaustin922 if you are wondering who the crazy person who is going to start liking all your photos is ha.
Great ideas! You have done a hard boiled egg? Have you done scrambled? I haven't tried eggs yet... Some of Cash's favorites are crackers, cheese, nutrigrain bars, tomato soup, grilled cheese, banana, yogurt, graham crackers. He's a piggy! :)
You looked amazing after birth!! I looked like a haggard homeless lady ;)
It must be exciting to be trying all these new foods with Owen - I'm nervous just thinking about hitting that point in C's life!
